Legionella Management Training

AN INTRODUCTION TO LEGIONEILA AND ITS CONTROL (1/2day)

This is probably the most important session for any person involved in the management, operation, maintenance, design, specification etc, of engineered water systems because it is the foundation on which the other units are built. An understanding of the basic principles & background will assist greatly in the learning process throughout the other courses.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND - any staff involved in working with water systems

1. a) Staff involved in the management, operation, maintenance, design, specification, etc, of engineered water systems and the control of legionella bacteria in these systems

TOPICS COVERED

1. a) Reason for the ACoP, its Scope and applicable Regulations
2. b) History
3. c) Management and staff responsibilities & the route to compliance
4. d) Microbiology (The BUG) and legionellosis (The diseases)
5. e) How it is caught & by whom
6. f) Factors that create a risk of acquiring Legionellosis
7. g) Basic information & requirements of the Legionella Risk Assessment
8. h) Prevention or control
9. i) Common failures & misconceptions

EXPECTED OUTCOMES

To provide a background and introduction to the control of Legionella bacteria in water systems

To also provide a basis for initial assessment of own management & control systems and service provider competence

All delegates will be expected to complete a Knowledge Assessment, and will receive certification of training bearing the Royal Society of Chemistry (BC) logo and statement that training is recognised by the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) for the purposes of Continued Professional Development (CPD)

Online course with CPL training

If you need to complete your licensee course then BAHA have a deal with CPL Learning to assist.

The course has been reduced to £110 per candidate plus VAT. Hotels within the BAHA group can take advantage of this offer by quoting BAHA and once you have paid your invoice, send a copy of the receript to rosie@bhhospitalityassociation.co.uk and we will arrange for £55 to be refunded to you by BAHA. This is a limited offer.
