The Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole area has faced its fair share of headlines in recent years. Check In, Chill Out is our response to that. A campaign launched to reclaim the story of this destination and remind people, visitors and locals alike, just how much there is to enjoy here. 

The campaign highlights the area's distinctive character: Bournemouth's cultural life, Christchurch's heritage, and Poole's maritime traditions and vibrant quay.  

With over seven miles of award-winning beaches, a thriving food and drink scene, and year-round events and activities, the Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole area has something for everyone throughout the year across the whole region.

Tourism and hospitality bring around £800 million into the local economy and support thousands of jobs, making the sector a vital part of community wellbeing. That's why the region's hoteliers, accommodation providers and hospitality businesses have come together behind this campaign, because getting the narrative right isn't just a matter of pride, it has real economic consequences for the people who live and work here. 

The campaign has drawn backing well beyond the hospitality sector:

• Bournemouth East MP Tom Hayes has raised the campaign in Parliament and called for a full debate on tourism in seaside towns. 
• Bournemouth West MP Jessica Toale has also supported the campaign by promoting and supporting the campaign across her social media 
• And Poole MP Neil Duncan-Jordan has also backed the initiative.
